Biography

Rabbi Daniel Kalish

Rabbi Daniel Kalish is the Menahel of Mesivta of Waterbury in Durham, Connecticut, and a respected Torah educator and speaker. Known for his warmth, sincerity, and deep belief in every individual, he helps people discover their strengths and develop a meaningful connection to Torah, to Hashem, and to themselves.

Rabbi Kalish learned at Yeshiva of Far Rockaway and the Mir Yeshiva in Yerushalayim before returning to the United States to help start Yeshiva Ateres Shmuel of Waterbury. Through his leadership of the Mesivta, he has helped build an environment where talmidim feel valued, develop confidence, and find joy in learning and personal growth. His approach to chinuch combines a commitment to Torah with an understanding of the emotional needs of young people and the importance of a caring rebbe–talmid relationship.

Beyond the walls of the yeshiva, Rabbi Kalish’s shiurim and shmuessen resonate with students, parents, educators, and audiences of all ages. Bringing Torah into conversation with everyday life, he speaks with honesty and compassion about chinuch, relationships, self-worth, and avodas Hashem. His teachings encourage listeners to recognize their own potential and take meaningful steps toward realizing it.

At the heart of Rabbi Kalish’s work is an enduring commitment to helping each person feel seen, believe in their ability to grow, and build a life filled with Torah, purpose, and simchas hachaim.
